Jalandhar DC appeals people to be cautious amid surge in Covid cases

Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori has appealed the people to remain fully vigilant in the wake of rising COVID cases besides ensuring meticulous adherence to social distancing, wearing masks properly and time to time sanitization of hands.

After inaugurating the expanded dialysis unit at local NHS Hospital, the Deputy Commissioner said that it is high time to follow COVID appropriate behavior in larger public interests so that the virus could not spread further. The vaccination drive is undergoing at different locations and those beneficiaries, who had not been yet got themselves vaccinated with second dose, should take the jab as early as possible. The Deputy Commissioner stated that the vaccination for youngsters between the age group of 15 to 18 years is also in progress while the booster dose would be administered to all eligible beneficiaries from January 10.

After inaugurating the expanded dialysis unit, the Deputy Commissioner in his discussion with the hospital authorities also motivated them and asked to be prepared for tackling the rising COVID cases in the district.
