Indian Government bans 59 Chinese apps including TikTok, Shareit, Shein after growing tensions in Ladakh

As the tensions have heightened with China on the Line of Actual Control, the Central government late on Monday has taken a decision on banning 59 Chinese apps and the apps include some mostly used apps in India like TikTok, Sharit, Shein, Helo, Vigo, Vmate and many others as well.

The orders were issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology who stated that the step was taken in order to safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users. The ministry quotes ‘This decision is a targeted move-in ensuring safety and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace.’

Here is the list of 59 Chinese apps being banned in the country:

The move had to be taken as the whole nation woke after they lost 20 innocent martyrs over the Galwan Valley clash With Chinese troops. Ever since the incident took place, fumes have been ignited among the Indian citizens who alleges ‘that China makes money out of Indians and later kills the Indian army only’.
