The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), S A S Nagar,celebrated 77 th Independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. Prof Dulal Panda, Director, NIPER, hoisted the National Flag followed by recitation of the National Anthem.
In his institutional address, Prof. Panda mentioned that August 15 th is a day of honor and pridefor every Indian citizen. Especially on this day, we recall the struggle and sacrifices of our great freedom fighters who liberated our country from the British rule.
He said that the focus is on an innovation-driven ecosystem in all domains. As we know, research and development is a key component in that path. The recent slogan, Jai Jawaan, Jai Kisaan, Jai Vigyaan, Jai Anusandhan, highlights this very well but also places on our shoulders an enormous responsibility to meet the country’s expectations. Indeed, 76 years after the independence, our country is shining in every field; life expectancy has nearly doubled, it has become a nuclear power, the country has successfully been able to leverage its soft power, has reached the landmark of 10 crore tele-consultations through e-Sanjeevani,
the digital health equity platform.
