A bizarre incident that took place in Kerala has come to its conclusion with the Kollam Additional District and Sessions Court set to announce its verdict on October 13. A husband was accused of using a serpent as the murder weapon in an attempt to kill his wife.
The Kerala court will pronounce the man guilty of killing his wife with the help of a cobra snake.
The court has found the husband guilty under Sections 302, 307, 328 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Hailing from the town of Anchal in Kollam district, the husband Sooraj hired a cobra to get rid of his specially-abled wife Uthra. Sooraj intended to remarry.
The wife died back in May 2020 and the cause of death was noted to be a snakebite after initial investigation.
