Ferozepur, July 29
Two acres of land of Horticulture Department in village Malwal under illegal possession was released today. The step was taken following encroachment vacation order under the Punjab Public Premises Act.
Dr.Balkar Singh Deputy Director, Horticulture Department informed that Cabinet Minister, Fouja Singh Sarari visited his office and when brought to his notice about the illegal possession of 2 acres of land, he gave directions on the spot, to the police to remove the illegal possession on the departmental land.
Following the orders of Cabinet Minister Farari and Director Horticulture Punjab Mrs. Shalindar Kaur, the illegal encroachment has been removed and the area will soon be cordoned off with the help of Deputy Director Horticulture Ferozepur officials/staff and Police Administration, to start the departmental activities on this land, said Dr.Balkar Singh.
Added here, the government has already ordered to get all illegal possession of land released so that the same could be utilized for the development of the state. It is also learned that the state government will also honour all officials, panchayat members and residents who will assist them in making the drive a success.
