Harish Rawat, Congress in-charge of Punjab affairs, said that the High Command had given a deadline to the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to fulfill the remaining election promises. He said that there were 18 points which the party had asked Amarinder Singh to take action on, including free power up to 200 units.
Talking to reporters here, Rawat said that the issue of Punjab Congress would be resolved by the first week of July. Regarding Navjot Sidhu, he said that the High Command had called for his interview and further action would be taken after reviewing it but at the same time he said that Navjot Sidhu would play an important role in the party.
He said that Capt. Amarinder Singh would hold a press conference in Chandigarh and brief the people about his next point. He said that the committee would talk to Navjot Sidhu.
