Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu today COVID-19 provided advisory in order to maintain cleanliness and sanitation for those under MGNREGA.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Vinod Sareen and Senior Medical Officer Dr. Bhupinder Singh said that the Punjab government has imposed strict restrictions on the movement of people by imposing curfew in all the 22 districts in the public interest to control the spread of the coronavirus. Although the government is allowed to resume activities necessary to reduce the problems of the workers under the MGNREGA, still, they must ensure compliance with the necessary guidelines to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

It should be specific that a distance of 1 metre is maintained for at least 1 meter under the rules of social distance between MGNREGA workers at the site of application to the application area.
