The historic Dandi Yatra Memorial, dedicated to the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, started by the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was inaugurated by Sandeep Singh, GOC, 7 Infantry Division at Das & Brown World School.
The world-class West End Golf Driving Range set up in the school was also inaugurated by the GoC Chief Guest. The gold range has been established in the school keeping in view the growing interest in golf among the youth.
On this occasion, he was accompanied by Deputy GOC Vignesh Mahanti, Brigadier RK Singh, Brigadier Ashish Khurana, Brigadier Anuj Jain, Col Preetinder Singh, Col Ibandeep Singh, Col Sandeep Singh, Wing Commander Sukhwant Singh, Dr. Kamal Baghi, Dr. Sheel Sethi, Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross. The program was presided over by Anirudh Gupta, CEO, DCM Group of Schools.
This is the first such memorial showing the memory of Mahatma Gandhi in the city of martyrs, where the struggle of Gandhiji’s life has been shown through sculpture. He said that this festival has been organized to commemorate the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the Platinum Jubilee of DCM Group of Schools
Seeing the West End Golf Driving Range in the school, the GOC was very appreciative and himself shot the golf stick grip. He said that providing world-class facilities by Das & Brown School in the field of sports in the border district is really a laudable step.
CEO Anirudh Gupta said that their only aim is to bring the name of the industrially backward district on the world map in the field of education and sports. By providing world-class facilities to the students, the aim is to make successful citizens for the future so that the children can make their golden career.
He said that with the aim of putting the students in the service of the country, the Cysac Club has been established, where along with school education, the students are prepared for IAS, PCM, IPS, NDA according to their interest. This is the reason that hundreds of students of DCM are holding high positions in administrative, military, police services.
