Frontline health care workers complete preparations to start corona vaccination from Saturday:Balbir Sidhu

Chandigarh, January 15: The Punjab Government has completed the preparations for launching Corona Vaccination Program under which first the health care workers (Central, State and Armed Forces Medical Services) would be vaccinated with their consent at 59 places in the state.

The first batch of vaccine doses have already been distributed to all the district cold chain stores. Special instructions to the health workers and officials regarding the use of these vaccines. Training is also provided. Earlier, a vaccination exercise was also conducted at all places as per the Safety Standards (SOPs) set by the Government of India to ensure smooth running of the immunization process. He clarified that only registered beneficiaries (health care workers) will be vaccinated.

Giving details about the dosage of corona vaccine supplied to the districts, Mr. Sidhu said that District Amritsar has 20,880, Barnala 41,60, Bathinda 12,430, Faridkot 5,030, Fatehgarh Sahib 4,400, Fazilka 4,670, Ferozepur 6,200, Gurdaspur 9,790, Hoshiarpur 9,570, Jalandhar 16,4th. 4,600, Ludhiana 36,510, Mansa 3,160, Moga 2,600, Pathankot 5,860, Patiala 11,080, Rupnagar 6,360, Sangrur 7,660, S.A.S. 13,640 to the town, SBS. The town has been allotted 5,300 doses, Sri Muktsar Sahib 5,420 and Tarn Taran district 8,210 doses.
