Free skill training for Youth in health sector related courses to enhance health facilities in district- Gurjeet Singh

Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Nodal Officer Punjab Skill Development Mission, Gurjeet Singh said that in order to increase the health facilities in the hospitals and health institutions of the district due to the Corona epidemic, government is initiating skill training for youth in 6 courses related to the health sector. He said that these courses would run under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana-3. The duration of these courses will be of 21 days for the new candidates and after completion of training the candidates will be employed in the health institution. Apart from this he said that the candidates already working in the health sector who do not have any certificate would also be certified by giving 7 days training under RPL (Recognition of Prior Training) so that they can be recognized as a special profession head and they can perform their services in a better way. He said that youth of the district should come forward to avail the benefits of this scheme. This will not only provide employment to the candidates but also the opportunity to serve the society during this epidemic. Block Mission Manager, PSDM, Faridkot, Gagan Sharma further informed that these courses include Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, General Duty Assistant, GDA-Advanced (Critical Care), Home Health Aid, Medical Equipment Technology Assistant, Phlebotomist, etc., which will be provided by the government absolutely free of cost.
