As many as four new cases of coronavirus have come to light in Bathinda district today. Two women and two men were tested positive for coronavirus in Bathinda. This information was given by the Deputy Commissioner of the district B Sri Niwasan.
The Deputy Commissioner said that two of them have a travel history of Ambala and Delhi respectively. In addition, one is a detainee in police custody who was arrested by the police in a case. While one is an Anganwadi worker.
He said that now there are five active cases in the district. While 43 people have already recovered and returned home. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the residents of the district not to panic and follow all the precautions following the advice of the administration and health department.
He appealed to wash hands frequently, wear masks, and follow the rules of social distance. Civil Surgeon Dr. Amrik Singh said that apart from the above, 167 negative reports have also been received today.
He also said that those whose reports were positive were being transferred to the Civil Hospital. Similarly, those who came in contact with them are being isolated and their samples are being taken for testing.
