Former Haryana minister Kamla Verma infected with black fungus

Senior BJP leader and former state Health Minister Kamla Verma has been infected with mucormycosis (black fungus). She is under treatment at a private hospital of Jagadhri town of Yamunanagar district. The BJP leader’s son Rajan Verma said she had tested positive for Covid on May 5, but recovered from the disease. However, she had now been infected with black fungus. Kamla was elected as an MLA from Yamunanagar in 1977 and was made the Health Minister. Besides, she remained state Cabinet minister twice.
