Finance will be levied with penalty after the rule date: Commissioner Municipal Corporation Moga

Surinder Singh, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Moga apprised the general public that the Punjab Government was waiving the timely payment of trade license fee. The government has fixed September 30, 2021 as the last date for payment of trade license fee.

He said that after this date penalty would be levied on payment of trade license fee. From 1st October 2021 to 31st December 2021 25 per cent and from 1st January, 2022 to 31st March 2022 50 per cent penalty will be levied for trade license fee.

The Commissioner Municipal Corporation Moga apprised the shopkeepers, factory owners, liquor contractors, private hospitals, banks, hotels, dhabas, groceries, marriage palace owners, owners of clothing shops, all kinds of furniture etc. within the limits of Municipal Corporation Moga. He appealed to the traders to avoid heavy fines by depositing their due trade license fee before the due date.

Surinder Singh further said that after the end of the financial year, the trade license fee would be recovered with 100% penalty. He said that if any one felt the need to get any necessary information in this regard, he could contact the office of Municipal Corporation Moga on any working day.
