Field Outreach Bureau organises Inter-school essay writing competition on Covid-19

Field Outreach Bureau of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India organised an Inter-school essay writing competition on Corona Awareness and Precautions.

The competition was organised in coordination with the District Administration and Education Department at Government Girls Senior Secondary Smart School, Railway Mandi in which students from five government schools participated.

Shaweta Kumari and Harjot Kaur of the Government School Railway Mandi bagged first two  positions where as the third prize went to Munaseev of Government Senior Secondary School, Shergarh. They were awarded by the Bureau.

Principal of the Railway Mandi school Lalita Rani while awarding the winners stressed that the students should make all possible efforts for spreading awareness amongst masses to follow all safety protocols against Covid-19 so that the further spread of this virus could be contained efficiently.

Field Publicity Officer Rajesh Bali said that all eligible are required to go in for vaccination to make oneself strong in fight against Corona. He motivated the students to take all necessary precautions to defeat Corona and teach others also.

Five schools that participated in the contest include Govt Girls Sr Sec Smart School Railway Mandi, Government Senior Secondary School, Shergarh, Government Senior Secondary School, Khuaspur Heeran, Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Clock Tower and Government Senior Secondary School, Piplanwali.

Teachers from above schools including Saroj Kumari, Poonam Malik and Gurpartap Singh adjudged the competition. Technical Assistant of the Bureau Kavish Dutt along with other teachers of Railway Road school coordinated the competition and judgement as well.

A cultural troupe of the Bureau also performed at the school venue to make other school students more aware on Corona and precautions.
