Fazilka : Competition dedicated to 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur continues

In a series of events being organized by the Punjab Government on the occasion of the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the School Education Department under the leadership of Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla has organized a beautiful writing competition from October 26. Under the supervision of State Education Research and Training Institute, the students of government schools of the state express their devotion to Guru Tegh Bahadur through their performances. The wording of the calligraphy competitions would be made available to the students by the head office through the district nodal officers before the competition.
District Education Officer Secondary and Elementary Dr. Sukhveer Singh Bal National Awardee informed that the students would upload the presentations of calligraphy competition through various means of social media from 26th to 30th October and by 12 noon on 31st October the school principals would upload the results of their respective schools on the given link. For calligraphy, the department will send passages related to Guru Tegh Bahadur in Punjabi, Hindi and English. The calligraphy will be of 40 minutes for primary and middle wing and 30 minutes for secondary wing.
There will be a 35 word paragraph for the primary category and a 50 word paragraph for the middle and secondary categories. Calligraphy will be done using a cane, broom or bamboo pen with one color ink Paper will be used as per the size given by the department. Nodal Officer Gurchinderpal and Savikar Gandhi said that these competitions were attended by a large number of students due to the inspiration of the teachers of government schools and it is hoped that the response of the students for the remaining competitions would be unparalleled.
