Two students were killed and two others were seriously injured in a road accident near village Bhairopur on Fatehgarh Sahib-Chandigarh road. According to the information, four friends were going to Chandigarh University in a car to get admission. His car rammed into a tree in Bhairopur village.
Jashnpreet Singh (22) resident of village Turan Mandi Gobindgarh and Keshav Bansal (21) resident of Kukkar Majra died in this accident. While Gagandeep Singh resident of Ladpur (Mandi Gobindgarh) and Navjot Sandhu resident of Turan are said to be in critical condition. Both the injured have been admitted to Civil Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib.
Kewal Singh, sub-inspector of Fatehgarh Sahib police station, said that the four students were going to enroll in Chandigarh University in a car. When he reached near village Bhairopur, suddenly his car hit a tree. Dr. Civil Hospital. Jeevanjot informed that four youths were brought as victims of the accident. Considering the serious condition of two of them, they have been referred to Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. While two have died. Both the bodies have been kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital for postmortem. The police have started investigating the case.
