Faridkot ADC issues various orders under section 144

Additional District Magistrate Faridkot S. Gurjit Singh PCS, exercising his powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973, has issued restraining orders in District Faridkot. These orders will remain in effect until January 24, 2021.

Prohibition on completion of public ponds without prior approval
Additional District Magistrate Faridkot has banned completion of public ponds in rural areas of district Faridkot. He said that in the rural areas the work of filling the public ponds was being done by the common people / panchayats due to which the flow of water in the villages was stopped due to which there was a danger of quarrel. He said that no person / Panchayat in rural areas would complete the public pond without the prior approval of the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrate or the concerned Block Development and Panchayat Officer. This ban would be enforced till January 24, 2021. Will remain

Another order has been issued prohibiting the installation of loudspeakers within the limits of district Faridkot. At the same time in the urban areas of the district Faridkot without the approval of the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrate will not hold any religious programs, gatherings, rallies etc. in public places during street, mohalla, religious or joyous occasions.
Restriction on gathering of five or more persons to maintain law and order in the district
The Additional District Magistrate has issued orders prohibiting five or more persons from assembling or holding meetings, chanting slogans, holding religious processions and campaigning without prior approval in view of maintaining law and order situation in the district. He said that only on special circumstances or occasions on the written request of the organizers and with the written approval of the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrate can public meetings be held and religious processions be taken out without permission. This order will not apply to government duty police, home guards, soldiers / paramilitary forces and peaceful processions at weddings.

Prohibition on the use of domestic gas cylinders in commercial places
Simultaneously Additional District Magistrate Faridkot has banned the owners of any restaurant, dhaba tea shop etc. from using domestic gas cylinders at their place of business. The ban will remain in effect until January 24, 2021.

Triple riding, without number plates, ban on the use of vehicles by minors
Additional District Magistrate Faridkot has directed the district to ensure triple riding (except women and children) behind two wheelers in district Faridkot, use of vehicles (motorcycles and scooters) without number plates, use of vehicles (motorcycles and scooters) And by removing the silencers of the vehicles and producing different kinds of scary noises and issuing complete prohibition orders. This ban will continue until January 24, 2021.
