Faridkot, October 21
In the post-mortem report of the deceased girl 10 days ago, it was reported that the girl died due to rupture of the uterine drain, due to which this young man named Sahil was to be released in a day or two.
Sagar and Jyoti were married in Faridkot about a year ago. But about 4 months ago, the girl Jyoti died under mysterious circumstances. The girl’s family members lodged a complaint with the police alleging poisoning of Sagar and her family and demanding dowry, on which the police registered a case against Sagar and his brother and sent them to jail.
Due to the bad condition of the boy in the jail, he was admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical Hospital where the boy died. According to the postmortem report, Sagar’s father and brother told the media that their son had been implicated in a false case and that they were demanding Rs 50 lakh for a deed or threatened to send him to jail. And on the 19th, he got a call from the jail that his son is not in good health. He has been referred to Faridkot Hospital where he died today while undergoing treatment. The boy’s family has demanded justice and an inquiry into the matter. The same police have taken the corpse in their possession and are conducting their postmortem so that the exact cause of death can be ascertained.
The boy’s brother told that his brother has been imprisoned on false charges. The girl’s relatives had demanded Rs 50 lakh for her resignation and were also threatening her. The matter should be investigated and whoever is guilty should be punished. My brother was caught in the wrong case of killing by giving poison towards dowry. He said that until there is no legal action against the prison administration and the girl’s family, they will not pick up the body and perform the funeral.
In this case, Ferozepur police is conducting post-mortem of the body by recording the statement of the boy’s family and is engaged in investigation of the case. When Ferozepur police station asked Sadar police if the family members are making serious allegations against the jail department, they got the answer. Only those in jail can tell in this case.
