Ex-MP Satyapal Jain wrote letter to Amit Shah to increase pension

Chairman of the Social Welfare Committee of Chandigarh and former BJP MP Satya Pal Jain has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He has requested Amit Shah by letter to accept the proposal sent by the Chandigarh administration on 30 May recommending increasing the old age, widow and disabled pension in Chandigarh from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 per month. In a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah, Jain said that the Social Welfare Committee of the Chandigarh Administration had several years ago recommended to increase the pension of the said beneficiaries from one thousand rupees to 2,000 rupees per month. It was sent to the central government. Later, the central government had sought some clarifications on this proposal. Chandigarh administration sent a detailed reply, explanation, and explanation in favor of this proposal on 30 May.
