Employees of PU’s regional center protest against admn to withdraw new rules

Protests have intensified against the new rules for promotion of non-teaching employees in Panjab University, Chandigarh and Regional Center. After PU campus Chandigarh, now the employees at regional centers have started raising their voice against the PU administration. The PU General Category Welfare Association raised slogans against the PU administration for several hours in the PU campus on Thursday and has also given a demand letter to the officials to withdraw the promotion roster. On the other hand, on Friday, in the Regional Center Ludhiana of Punjab University, the employees have started protest against the decision of PU administration. A large number of employees have raised their voice against the new roster system with banners and posters in their hands. In the whole matter, now there is a lot of pressure on the Panjab University administration to reconsider this decision. The decision of the PU administration will directly affect the promotion of general category around three thousand. PU employees say that if the PU administration does not take back the decision, then in the coming days, continuous dharna will be started. The employee is also preparing to go to court in the whole matter. The employees involved in the meeting under the banner of Joint Action Committee.
