Education Department launches English booster club for government schools

It has been decided to set up an English Booster Club as a unique initiative for the qualitative development of the students of class VI to XII studying in the government schools of Punjab. The purpose of which is to eliminate hesitation and fear in the pronunciation of English language among the students as well as to make the students proficient in language skills. The club is being formed from October 12.

To maintain this belief, English teachers in government schools have taken a unique initiative to set up a booster club. In this regard Harpal Singh Sandhanwalia, Deputy D. E. . Tarn Taran said that while increasing the enrollment in government schools, when he was talking to the parents of private schools, he used to hear that the teachers of government schools could not strengthen the children’s grasp of English.

Thought of making. In this regard booster clubs are being started by English teachers from 12th October. The activities to be carried out by the District Mentors and Block Mentors under the English Booster Club have also been outlined. Disclosing this here today District Mentor English Mr. Baljinder Singh said that the work of setting up of Booster Club would be done in two phases.
