Dr. Baldev Singh Aulakh, Chief Urologist, Transplant Surgeon, and Chairman of Aykai Hospital, was felicitated by the Hon’ble Health Minister of Haryana Arti Rao Singh, during the 34th North Zone Urological Society of India (NZUSI) conference held in Gurugram. This prestigious recognition celebrates Dr. Aulakh’s unparalleled expertise in urology & kidney transplant and his groundbreaking contributions to the field.
Dr. Aulakh was specifically recognized for successfully performing the world’s first-ever swap transplant between a Muslim and a Sikh family. He also performed cadaver transplant first time of it’s kind in Punjab . He successfully performed more than 20,000 operations including kidney transplant, laparoscopic surgeries (removal of prostate cancer , bladder cancer donor and cancerous kidney, kidney saving cancer surgery) , laser for prostate & stones , female urology, andrology and male infertility. This landmark achievement not only reflects his technical expertise but also underscores his commitment to promoting inclusivity and innovation in healthcare.
