Doctor commits suicide in his Sector 16 residence

A doctor died after falling from the window of the second floor of his house in a suspicious condition. At present, Sector-17 police station is present on the spot and is investigating. The forensic team that reached the spot is also engaged in the investigation of the case. The deceased doctor has been identified as 55-year-old Gopal Kishan Bansal. He lived with his family on the second floor in the house number 28 of Sector 16, Chandigarh. According to the information received, as soon as the incident came to light, the family members took him to GMSH-16 where doctors declared him dead during treatment. The police also got information from the hospital itself and the police reached the spot. The deceased doctor worked in a government hospital in Punjab. At present, the police is trying to find out why the doctor took this dreadful step. The investigation so far has revealed that the deceased doctor had recently defeated Corona. He was alone in the room on Thursday morning. During this he fell down from the window due to which he died. The family suspects that he might have fallen down while opening the window, due to which he died. Police is now probing every aspect. At present, the police has kept the body in the mortuary of the hospital.
