SAS Nagar, October 22
“While the entire Punjab is on the path of progress under the able leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, the Development work in SAS Nagar is also gaining momentum” said Health and family welfare Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu while commencing the development works in the district. The development works include installation of paver blocks and premix laying works at Police Colony Phase 8. Paving will cost about Rs 18 lakh while premix laying is expected to cost about Rs 5 lakh.
Mr. Sidhu said that the people of the residential societies and colonies of Mohali have been paying various taxes to the Municipal Corporation but it is evident that no development work has been done in these colonies during the regime of previous government. The Health Minister said that he had been informed about the required development works in the colony and has thereafter released funds from his discretionary quota for the development works. He said that the Congress government under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh was committed to provide all facilities to the people and no stone would be left unturned in the road to development.
