The body of a farmer, who had gone missing three days ago in Jind’s village Nidana, was recovered from his field on Monday afternoon. A suicide note written on the affidavit was recovered from the deceased. In this, there are allegations of harassment on the manager of Union Bank. The Julana police station has registered a case of abetting suicide against the bank manager on the complaint of the son of the deceased on the basis of the suicide note.
According to the police, 55-year-old Dalbir, a farmer resident of village Nidana, had gone missing from his house on September 10. The relatives searched but found no trace of him. Dalbir’s body was found in his cotton field on Monday afternoon. The dead body appeared to be about three days old. Police inspected the site of the incident. It is suspected that Dalbir committed suicide by consuming poison. In the suicide note written on the affidavit from the pocket of the deceased, the manager of Union Bank’s branch located near BSNL has been held responsible for the death.
It is written in the suicide note that he had got an FD of one lakh rupees, whose proof was not given by the bank manager. Also, the amount of crop insurance was deducted, but proof of that was not given. The crop has been damaged due to rain.
