DC Tarn Taran starts distribution of sewing machines and tool kits to young boys and girls

Deputy Commissioner Tarn Taran Mr. Kulwant today at village Pahuwind in the district under the Border Area Development Program imparted sewing machine tools to the unemployed youth of the border area to start their self-employment after imparting vocational courses to the unemployed youth of the border area. Distribution of kits was started. On this occasion Chairman District Planning Committee Mr. Jagtar Singh Burj, Deputy E. S. A. Dr. Mr. Amandeep Singh, Capt. Balwant Singh and Tehsildar Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, Mr. Rajwant Singh Chairman Market Committee Mr. Inderbir Singh Sarpanch and Mr. Bikramjit Singh Bath Chairman Guru Nanak Educational Welfare and Charitable Society besides other dignitaries were present. Disclosing this here today Deputy Commissioner said that Guru Nanak Educational Welfare and Charitable Society has so far imparted training to 748 young boys and girls in various vocational courses. He said that this was done to impart skills to unemployed young boys and girls in border areas. He appealed to the youth of the district to take up some skill training to become self reliant.
