Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Vishesh Sarangal today directed the officials to ensure“ Zero pendency “ for citizen services at Sewa Kendra’s in the district .
In a meeting to review the progress of sewa kendras , Deputy commissioner said that the concerned authorities must ensure to deliver the services within time frame prescribed by the Punjab Government.
He made it clear that undue delay in providing services to the people at sewa kendras would not be tolerated at all.
He also directed the district heads of all the departments to take immediate decision regarding the applications received from the sewa Kendra’s so that there would be no delay in providing services to the people.
It may be mentioned here that 20 Seva Kendras are functioning in the district and for the convenience of the people the Punjab Government has decided to open Seva Kendras on Saturday and Sunday in shifts.
Deputy Commissioner also asked all the SDMs to ensure weekly review of the functioning and pending applications of sewa Kendra’s in their respective sub divisions .
SDM Dr. Jai Inder Singh, Seva Kendra in-charge Chanakya Anand and others were present in the meeting .
