To provide the benefit of Aayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana to every needy and eligible beneficiary, e-cards of maximum number of beneficiaries should be made under this scheme so that any beneficiary under this public welfare scheme of Punjab Govt. Don’t be deprived of free treatment. This order was given by the Deputy Commissioner Vimal Kumar Setia on the occasion of a meeting with the officers of various departments. A special drive has been launched by the department till February 28.
On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Kapoor said that so far 133027 people of the district have applied for health insurance cards out of which 131783 cards have been generated under which 63932 families have been covered under this scheme. He said that without the card the patient would not be able to avail the benefit of this scheme in the government and listed hospitals. The service has also been introduced at the Common Service Centers for making cards, where cards of registered beneficiaries and their family members are being made at a fee of Rs. Beneficiaries can create their own card.
He said that the residents of the district who have smart ration cards, laborers registered with the labor department, farmers holding farms, accredited and yellow card holders, journalists, small traders registered with the excise and tax department, etc., find themselves in penal hospitals per family. Rs 5 lakh per annum can be registered for free treatment. He said that for any further information regarding this scheme one can contact the helpline number 104 of the health department.
Prominent amongst others who were present in the meeting included Additional Deputy Commissioner Gurjit Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Development Preet Mohinder Sahota, Baljit Kanth DDPO, Raj Rishi Mehra DFSC, Dr. Chandra Shekhar SMO Including officials of various departments were present.
