COVID-19: Salon staff wears PPE kits to prevent coronavirus spread

One can undoubtedly say that our near future is going to change once the coronavirus crisis ends. Many things which we were never habitual of, will become the new normal.

As we know, since the lockdown has been imposed, the salons and barbershops have been kept close. But now, after being shut for almost two months, the salons have been allowed to resume their services. But still, the threat of coronavirus is there. Therefore, the staff at the salons are being more careful and being extra protective.

As per the reports, the salon staff in Delhi, Bhopal, and Chennai were seen wearing PPE kits as precautionary measures. Also, the customers now have to take appointments in order to maintain social distancing. Perhaps, this is the ‘new normal, which wee will see for quite a long time for our safety only.

Other than this, several state governments have instructed the salon owners to take the Aadhar number, contact details of the customers. The owners are keeping registers to note down their details.

A salon owner in Bhopal reportedly said, “We have guidelines from WHO. We have to collect the information of our clients, then we have to sanitize their hands and also gloves have to be provided to them before entering the salon. Also, we have kept disposable equipment and are attending two clients at a time. The entire staff is wearing PPE kits.”

According to the reports, the Union Ministry has said that only a limited number of activities would remain prohibited throughout the country during the Unlock 1.
