Cops hold checking at Kharar housing society, round up 15

The police have rounded up 15 suspects and impounded three vehicles besides sending notices to 200 owners who had rented their flats just a few days ago, while carrying out a checking of 1,000 flats in SBP City Dream, a housing society, in Kharar today. The drive, which has been carried out in continuation to the crackdown on absconding gangsters and criminals, was started at 6 am and continued till 11 am. SSP Vivek Sheel Soni said Inspector Yogesh Kumar, SHO, Sadar Kharar, and SI Balwinder Kaur, SHO, Gharuan, along with 70 police officials searched more than 1,000 flats and premises at SBP City Dreams. He said 15 suspected persons and three vehicles were taken into custody for verification. The SSP said during the drive, it was found that several flat owners had not followed the rules in regard to police verification of their paying guests or tenants.
