Member of Lok Sabha and Congress MP Manish Tewari in the presence of MLA Angad Singh and Chairman Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Pawan Diwan inaugurated various development works in Nawanshahr including Ward No. 4, Kulam Road. This includes construction of streets and installation of tubewells for drinking water in Church Colony, Musapur Road area. On this occasion, Manish Tewari said that Punjab Government was committed for the overall development of villages and cities of the state. He said that massive development works were underway to provide all the basic amenities to the people. On this occasion he directed the officers to ensure that the work was completed within the stipulated time and special care should be taken for the quality of work.
On the occasion MLA Angad Singh said that the streets at Kulam Road were being rehabilitated at a cost of Rs. 94 lakh. Similarly, the work of installing tubewells for drinking water at Church Colony at a cost of Rs. 27 lakh has been started to meet the long standing demand of the residents of the area. He said that this would definitely solve the drinking water problem of the residents of the area. He said that with the completion of these works the residents of the area would be greatly relieved.
