Congress blows up effigy of Union government

The Punjab Youth Congress has been staging protests against the Modi government at the Center across the state since today over the promise of petrol and diesel prices by the Center. Under which a protest led by Nabha Youth Congress President Manjinder Singh Jindri was staged by burning the effigy of the Central Government. Protesting outside a petrol pump at village Duldi in Nabha block, the effigy of Modi government led by Nabha Youth Congress President Manjinder Singh Jindri was also chanted. Speaking on the occasion Nabha Youth Congress Presidents Manjinder Jindri and Jagdeep Singh Chattha said that the Modi government at the Center had come to power on false pretenses and promised to bring good days which today has become a mere promise. He said that rising oil prices had shaken the people and people were now eagerly waiting for the Assembly elections to bring better days so that the BJP government at the Center could be shown good days. He said that Youth Congress would continue to protest till the Modi government at the Center reduced the rates of petrol and diesel.
