Launching an awareness campaign today in connection with World Malaria Day, Civil Surgeon Dr. Harjinder Singh released the poster. He said that not a single case of malaria has been reported in the district so far which is why our health department is working diligently.

He said that we should not allow water to accumulate in and around our houses and we should keep emptying the water in pots and fridge trays every week.
On this occasion, Dr. Amit said that in case of fever, one should seek treatment at a government hospital instead of treating oneself at home as it is the cause of the epidemic that cannot be detected without investigation. Malaria is treated free of charge in all government hospitals. Common symptoms of malaria are shivering or headaches and sweating with the cold.
