Punjab Health Systems Corporation (PSHC) Chairman Amardeep Singh Cheema visited Prem Nagar, Daraslam, Railway Road, Railway Station and adjoining settlements in Batala today and got information about the health facilities available to the people at the grass-root level. This was stated by Gurpreet Singh Shana, Municipal Councilor of the area, Ashwani Kumar Deluxe Suite, a senior cricketer and Gurdaspur Cricket Association official, and Jai Shiv, a prominent player. He demanded from Cheema to open a permanent dispensary in his area.
Cheema assured the residents of the area that the health department would further improve the health services in the area. He said that as long as the dispensary was not open in Prem Nagar Daraslam area, the mobile unit of the health department would come here from time to time to provide health facilities to the people. Cheema also issued instructions to Civil Surgeon Gurdaspur in this regard. He said that a special medical camp would be organized by the team of health department on April 9 in this area.
On this occasion, he was accompanied by SMO. Dr. Sanjeev Bhalla, Project Coordinator Sukhdev Singh, Azadwinder Singh Kake Shah, Retired Inspector Dilbag Singh, Retired Inspector Makhan Singh, Kishan Sant Vaishno Dhaba and Coordinator Charanpreet Dhillon were present.
