Central Government should avoid ending the democratic structure of Panjab University alleges Sandhwan

The Aam Aadmi Party has strongly opposed the suggestion of the Central Government to abolish the sanet of Punjab University and create a new board on the recommendation of the Center. In a press statement issued from AAP’s Headquarters Chandigarh, Kulatar Sandhwan, MLA from Kotkapura of Aam Aadmi Party and Jai Krishna Singh Rody, MLA from Garhshankar said that doing so would end the democratic structure of Punjab University forever. He said that under the new educational policy formulated by the Central Government, the Central Government is bringing the board to dissolve the sanet by creating a board, which will prove fatal for the university and the state of Punjab. He suggested the central government to keep the current system current, avoiding doing so.

AAP leaders said that Punjab University is a major educational institution in North India and colleges belonging to different regions of Punjab come under it. He said that Punjab should have the first right over the department established in Chandigarh by making the villages of Punjab devastated. In spite of not having a central university earlier, the Vice President of India has been given the responsibility of the Chancellor of Punjab University, while the Administrator of Chandigarh has the responsibility of the Governor of Punjab.
