- The pro-investment policies of the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh resulted in a record investment of Rs. 91,000 crore in the state.
Member Lok Sabha and former Union Minister Manish Tewari from Sri Anandpur Sahib today said that industries have a significant contribution to make in the development of the country and industries should fulfill their responsibility for it wholeheartedly.
Ram Kannan MD, Kirpal Singh Sian Deputy Senior Vice President, Sunil Jha Director Engineering, Pawan Diwan Chairman Punjab Large Industrial Development, among others. Board, Vijay Sharma Chairman Planning Board Mohali, Sumit Kaplish General Manager, Jasbir Singh SDM Morinda were also present.
Speaking on the occasion Tewari said that under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh a single window system has been introduced for setting up of industries in the state. Approvals are time bound. He said that due to these efforts a record investment of Rs.91 thousand crore has been made in the state.
On the occasion, Tewari lauded the contribution of modern technology in agricultural reforms which has given a new direction to the farmers. He further said that industries have a significant contribution to make in the development of the country and at the same time he mentioned the responsibility of industries towards the country. He said that the Punjab government was committed to the development of the industries and the industries should work in the interest of the local people and create new sources of employment. He also stressed on the need to recycle industrial waste, which is an important requirement for environmental conservation.
On this occasion Ramram Kannan of Class India thanked the guests and Manish Tewari also appreciated the contribution made by Class India in Make in India.
