Under the Pradhan Mantri Swayam Nidhi Scheme, a loan of up to Rs.10,000 This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Barnala Tej Partap Singh Phoolka while visiting the loan camp set up by the teams of 13 different banks at the local Municipal Council.
He said that this loan is to be repaid by the concerned in installments in 1 year. The 7 percent interest on the loan repaid on time will also be repaid by the government as a subsidy to the account of the concerned. He also said that the registration of the borrowers should be mandatory at the Municipal Council, Barnala.
He said that more such camps would be set up on March 6 and 13 so that the Rehri holders could resume their employment after taking loans.
On this occasion teams of staff of various banks completed the documents required for the loan applications submitted by the Rehri holders.
Manpreet Singh Sidhu, Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Barnala was also present on the occasion.
