Punjab Minister for Industry and Commerce Mr. Sundar Sham Arora said that all the major roads and streets of Hoshiarpur were being constructed on priority basis. He was addressing the inauguration of street construction work in Sant Harchand Singh Longowal Nagar of Ward No. 10. He said that streets were being constructed in Ward No. 10 at a cost of about Rs. 15 lakhs.
Cabinet Minister Arora said that no road in the city would be left unfinished and special care would be taken for quality during road construction. He said that the pace of development in the city has been accelerated and construction of roads at various places in the city has been started. He said that the face of the city would be changed in the near future.
He said that the government was making special efforts to strengthen the infrastructure of Hoshiarpur. He directed the Municipal Corporation officials to take all the necessary precautions regarding Kovid-19 and carry out the construction work in a planned manner and no negligence should be exposed in this work. He said that Punjab government was in the process of constructing these roads and streets at a cost of crores of rupees so strict action would be taken if any shortcomings were found in the road construction work.
Mr. Sundar Sham Arora appealed to all the people to follow the instructions issued by the government and district administration under Mission Fateh under Kovid-19. He said that only by taking precaution can this deadly disease be prevented and success in Mission Fateh be achieved.
