BSF arrests Pakistani intruder with 2.6kg of heroine near international border : Ferozepur

BSF has arrested a Pakistani intruder in Ferozepur district near the international border. Meanwhile, 2.6 kg of heroin and a pistol have been recovered near Kulwant post in Mamdot area near the border. Both these activities have come to the fore in the areas bordering India. Pak currency and some cards have been recovered from the arrested Pakistani national.

According to information received from Hussainiwala, Army personnel deployed on duty in the border area late Monday night saw a suspect walking near the fence and caught him. Upon interrogation, the arrested person identified himself as Mushtaq. During the search, an identity card has been found from him, on which the name of Javed Anwar’s son Anwar Ali is written. Besides, Rs 5,510 in Pakistani currency and two visiting cards have also been recovered.

Vigilant jawans of BSF 116 battalion deployed in Mamdot have recovered heroin and a pistol sent by Pak smugglers during a search operation in the area of ​​check post Kulwant. About this, the officers of the force informed that during the late night patrol, the jawans saw some movement towards Pak from the barbed wire. When challenged, the Pak suspects threw something into the Indian border and took advantage of the darkness to escape. In the morning, the jawans recovered 2 kg 600 grams of heroin and a pistol in a search operation conducted with the officers of the force. At present, the security agencies are trying to find out to which Indian smuggler the consignment was to be delivered.
