Brahm Mahindra lays foundation stone of infrastructural projects worth Rs. 22.74 crore

Giving the big boost to infrastructural projects at Kharar, Punjab Local Bodies Minister Brahm Mohindra laid foundation stone of various projects here worth Rs. 22.74 crore included Construction of Community centre at Village Jhungian, Construction of Sports Stadium, Park and Community Centre at Village Santemajra, Widening & 4 laning of Civil Hospital Road Kharar and Channelization of old choe.

After Laying the foundation stone in presence of Member Parliament Manish Tewari and Senior Congress Leader Jagmohan Kang, Mohindra said that the concerted efforts of Punjab Government for infrastructural growth had secured investments worth over Rs. 71,000 crores during last four years besides ensuring 2.7 lakh job opportunities under various industrial projects.

The Minister informed that requisite approvals for setting up projects have been obtained and these development projects would soon provide their service to mankind.

The Cabinet Minister said that despite severe health crisis amid global COVID-19 pandemic, the year-2020 itself witnessed investment to the tune of Rs. 10,461 crore with major projects in different sectors including agro, food-processing, chemical, automobile, textile, education, renewable energy, light engineering etc. due to ‘ease of doing business’.

Meanwhile a meeting was also held at Sunny Club in Sunny Enclave Kharar, where Cabinet Minister Brahm Mohindra, MP Manish Tewari and Jagmohan Kang listened the plaints of workers and resolved amicably on the spot.

Among others who were present on the occasion included Senior Vice Chairman Infotech Yadvinder Singh Kang, Chairman Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Pawan Dewan, SDM Kharar Harbans Singh, Executive Engineer Vinay Mahajan, Youth Congress President Kharar Rajbir Singh Raji, Mahila Congress Leader Renu Bala and Block President Kharar Yashpal Bansal.
