Black fungus cases are continuously increasing in Punjab and the number of deaths of infected patients is also increasing. Four black fungus patients died in the state during the last 24 hours, while five were found in Ludhiana and two in Amritsar. A person died of black fungus in Adarsh Nagar of the Sujanpur area in Pathankot. Balwant Raj was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Ludhiana on May 15. He was hit by Corona about 20 days ago. His eye light had gone away from the black fungus. He underwent treatment at Apollo Hospital Ludhiana from 15 May to 24 May. According to family members, the hospitalists asked to take the patient home.
