Black fungus cases are continuously increasing in Punjab and the number of deaths of infected patients is also increasing. Four black fungus patients died in the state during the last 24 hours, while five were found in Ludhiana and two in Amritsar. A person died of black fungus in Adarsh Nagar of the Sujanpur area in Pathankot. Balwant Raj was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Ludhiana on May 15. He was hit by Corona about 20 days ago. His eye light had gone away from the black fungus. He underwent treatment at Apollo Hospital Ludhiana from 15 May to 24 May. According to family members, the hospitalists asked to take the patient home.
The patient died while coming home from the hospital. The family says that he spent around five lakh rupees. On the other hand, a person has died of black fungus at Rajindra Hospital in Patiala on Tuesday, while a new case has been found. Patiala now has 20 cases of black fungus in total. So far six patients have died here. On the other hand, two patients died of black fungus in Gurdaspur on Tuesday, while two more new patients of black fungus have been reported in the Amritsar district. Both are undergoing treatment at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital (GNDH). The doctors collected samples of five Corona-infected patients. There have been a total of 15 patient reports in the district, out of which three have died. The relief is that Ampho-B injection used in the treatment of black fungus is now available in Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. Five cases of black fungus have also been reported in Ludhiana. All of them are residents of Ludhiana.
