Black Fungus: Chandigarh gets 280 doses of Amphotericin B Injection

The Chandigarh Health Department has received 280 doses of Amphotericin B Injection for the treatment of black fungus patients from the Centre. The Health Department had asked for five thousand injection doses. So far, Rs 1 crore 20 lakh has been given by the administration for five thousand doses of injection. The number of black fungus patients is increasing continuously in the hospitals of Chandigarh. A total of 25 patients of black fungus have been found in the city so far. Three of these patients have been confirmed dead. According to the report of the Health Department, so far 201 patients of black fungus have been admitted in various hospitals of the city. Which are from other states besides Chandigarh. 147 patients are admitted in PGI Chandigarh, 50 in GMCH-32, three in Healing Hospital and one in Mukut Hospital. So far 3,60,484 people have been vaccinated Vaccination is going on in Chandigarh for corona prevention. The health department on Wednesday vaccinated 5,361 people in the city. 4,736 people aged 18 to 44 years were vaccinated. So far 3,60,484 people have been vaccinated. 24,665 health care workers have administered the first dose of the vaccine and 14,385 the second dose. 22,655 frontline workers have administered the first dose of the vaccine and 14,176 the second dose. So far 54,383 people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have got the first dose of the vaccine and eight people have got the second dose.
