Another accused in Red Fort violence arrested, police also recovered 2 swords

Another arrest has been made in connection with the violence at the Red Fort during a farmer’s tractor parade on January 26, Republic Day. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested the most wanted accused Maninder Singh and recovered two swords from him. Earlier, police arrested Punjabi actors Deep Sidhu and Iqbal Singh in connection with the violence. A. Was. P. A police team led by Inspector Shiv Kumar, Inspector Pawan Kumar and Inspector Karambir under the supervision of Atar Singh has arrested Maninder Singh from Pitampura. He was arrested around 7.45 pm on Tuesday. He works as a car AC mechanic. Police recovered two 4.3-foot-long swords from Swarup Nagar at his behest. According to the Delhi Police, several pictures of the violence at the Red Fort came to light in which Maninder Singh was brandishing two swords. It is learned that the arrested Maninder Singh had also made several provocative Facebook posts. He used to go to the Singhu border in Delhi. Maninder revealed that he had persuaded six people from Swarup Nagar area to join the tractor parade. According to police, Maninder along with his accomplices and other unidentified armed miscreants entered the Red Fort. Maninder wielded a sword. This encouraged the mischievous elements. During this time the Red Fort was damaged.
