After 14 months farmers won and govt lost the battle of farm laws

The Modi government finally repealed the farm laws. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to withdraw the three controversial agricultural laws. Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib has been chosen for this announcement.

Prime Minister said that we have left no stone unturned in understanding the farmers. He was also prepared to change the arrangements he had objected to. Now, after Modi’s announcement, farmers on the Delhi border have started celebrating. At the same time, reactions have started coming up on social media.

After Modi’s announcement today, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Today is big news. Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati said the government should have taken this decision much earlier. The government is now urged to provide adequate assistance to the martyred farmers and provide a government job to one of their family members.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted an old video of himself and wrote that Annadata of the country bowed the head of the government’s arrogance with Satyagrahi. Congratulations on this victory against injustice.

Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala told media that Modi government had today admitted its guilt. The punishment for this crime will now be decided by the public. Behind this decision, the BJP fears losing elections in five states, including UP and Punjab.

BKU president Bhanu Pratam Singh said, “We welcome this step. Due to anti-farmer policies, farmers have been dying under the burden of debt for the last 75 years. I urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to form an agriculture committee and let him fix the crop rate. By making such an announcement one day, the debts of all the farmers should also be forgiven.

Capt Amarinder Singh, former Chief Minister of Punjab and recently defected from the Congress said that he was grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for listening to the demands of every Punjab and repealing the three black agriculture laws on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

Kisan Union President Rakesh Tikait said, “We will not withdraw the Agriculture Act till the law is repealed in Parliament.”

The Aam Aadmi Party said it was a major victory for the farmers’ campaign. The Modi government has withdrawn three black agriculture laws for fear of defeat in the coming elections. PM Modi should apologize to the families of those farmers who have lost their lives in the fight for justice.

Navjot Sidhu said that the sacrifices of the farmers have paid off. Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu said that withdrawal of agricultural laws was a step in the right direction.
