Jalandhar, July 6

In a bid to provide Covid-19 jabs to bed-ridden specially-abled beneficiaries under the vaccination drive, the district administration has come up with a unique initiative to inoculate them at their doorstep.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that such beneficiaries can seek inoculation facilities at their doorsteps by dialing control room number 0181-2224417. He reiterated district administration’s commitment to covering every eligible beneficiary under the vaccination drive so that no one was left without the jab of Covid-19 vaccine.

Thori mentioned that the registration process would be carried out for a week and vaccination would begin when there were sufficient numbers of registration. He added that a dedicated mobile team would be deployed to provide these facilities near their home, adding persons with genuine mobility issues to be covered by the team.

The DC stated that the specially abled persons are the integral part of our society, and administration would leave no stone unturned to serve them amid this unprecedented health crisis. He appealed to all such persons to get their vaccine jabs by registering through this number so that the Covid-19 doses could be administered to them nearby their homes.
