Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajinder Kumar said that 4,584 samples of Covid-19 have been sent to the lab to date out of which results of 117 samples are yet to come. The results obtained were 4,329 negative reports. Now, there is 1 active case of Faridkot who is admitted to an isolation ward at local Guru Gobind Singh Medical Hospital. The department was collecting samples from various health institutes of the district at Kotkapura, Jaito, Bajakhana, Sadiq, and Fatu Corners in Faridkot and sending them to the lab for testing.
Deputy Commissioner Faridkot Kumar Saurabh Raj IAS said that following the letter issued by the Director Health and Family Welfare, if any person in the district does not wear a mask, he/she will be fined Rs.500 / -, a person violating privacy Rs.2000 /- and a person who spit in a public place Rs.500 /-
Mass Media Incharge Dr. Prabhdeep Singh Chawla Instructed to coordinate with field staff and Panchayats. He also encouraged the Medical, Para-Medical, Rural Medical Officers, Pharmacists and Asha workers of the department to take care of their own safety. Guidelines have also been issued to the Flu Corner in-charges of the district for screening the staff members and collecting samples of those who have symptoms like cough, cold, fever, or flu.
