5 arrested in raid on 2 spa centers in Jalandhar, 9 Delhi girls rescued

After the Cloud Spa Center gangrape case in Jalandhar, now Bliss Body Spa Center at Gada Road, Chhoti Barandri Part-2 and Care Sinses Spa Center at Dairy Chowk Police have arrested nine girls and five people during the raid. Among them is Mahesh Kumar, owner of CareSense Spa Center. According to sources, the police had received information that these people were engaged in prostitution under the guise of a spa center. Of the nine girls recovered, six are from Delhi, two from Jalandhar City and one from Amritsar. DCP Gurmeet Singh said that after interrogation, the girls would be handed over to their families. He said that a case has been registered against the owners of both the spa centers and their associates. Action has been taken against 9 girls under the Epidemic Diseases Act and Section 188 of the IPC. The managers were present during the raid at Prince and Love Spa Center. A search of the center turned up seven girls. However, nothing objectionable was found at the spa center. During the interrogation, Prince and Love said that they run a spa center together with Balwinder Singh and Kamlesh of Zira. The center was opened three months later because the owner had said that four girls were coming from Delhi. Both the accused said that everything happens inside the center with the will of the girls. However, these girls say that they only do massage work in the center. Police also raided the Care Sins Spa Center in Model Town, where managers Akash and Sonu Kalra were arrested. Two Delhi girls have been detained by the police from inside the center. The girls claimed that they had come from the Center to collect their belongings and wanted to return to Delhi.
