38-yr-old man from Gurdaspur who went abroad to earn a living died of heart attack

Gurdaspur, June 23

Bikramjit Singh, 38, of Bhikhariwal village in Gurdaspur, who went abroad to earn a living, died of a heart attack two years ago. His wife also died. Elderly parents have demanded the government to bring the body to India so that it can be buried in its native village.

Giving information in this regard, the father of the deceased Balkar Singh and brother Amarjit Singh said that his brother Bikramjit Singh had gone abroad (Italy) two years ago to earn a living and used to go there and work in agriculture yesterday.

He got a call from someone that he had died of a heart attack. He said that his wife had also died two years ago. He said that the deceased had three young daughters who were now being cared for by elderly grandparents. The family members of the deceased have demanded the government to provide financial assistance to them and bring back the body of their son to India as soon as possible so that he can be buried in his native village and for the last time.
