18 new cases take Nawanshahr COVID-19 district toll to 84, 1 case of Ludhiana

Nawanshahr, May 8

Out of the results of late-night samples of Covid-19 in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, 18 more cases have come out to be positive, out of which one case is related to a person from Ludhiana district.

According to Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajinder Bhatia, 10 out of 18 cases are related to two secluded centers set up in the district while other patients out of the remaining 8 cases is related to Garcha, Bhaora, Kamam, Gunachaur, Shakti Nagar Banga, Mahipur, Mangupur and Ludhiana district village Machhiwara Kham. As the case pertaining to Ludhiana district came from Ludhiana itself, it has been handled by Civil Hospital, Ludhiana.

The case was referred to a doctor in Nawashahr for nose surgery but as a precaution, the doctor referred him to the Civil Hospital Nawashahr for his test. He said that out of the people from Nanded, 8 secluded centers belonged to Rail Majra and 2 secluded centers belonged to Behram.
According to Dr. Bhatia, with the arrival of these new cases, the number of cases under treatment in the district has risen to 84.
